Olamide Brown (Orekunrin) is a 31-year-old British-Nigerian medical doctor. She graduated from Hull York Medical School at the age of 21 making her one of the youngest medical doctors in the United Kingdom at the time.
Ola pioneered the first air operated emergency medical service in Lagos, known as Flying Doctors Nigeria Ltd prior to which she worked for ten years with the National Health Service, United Kingdom as a helicopter pilot with specialised training in aviation medicine.
She is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Surgeons and the British Medical Association. Ola Brown (Orekunrin) was listed as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2013 and Forbes Africa’s 30 before 30. Flying Doctors Nigeria provides critical care via air transportation to the private and public sectors, companies and individuals.
