There is no gainsaying that ideas rule the world, but their reality is transformed into a remarkable phenomenon when passed through Mentor-Figures. Mentorship, being a two-way street ensures a set of meticulous actions to achieve all forms of targeted Theory of Change.

It was on this premise that the Nigerian Women Trust Fund initiated a three-day mentorship session for winners of the IdeathonNg competition. The competition, which generated ideas from NYSC Corps members for innovative ways to finding a lasting solution to barriers to effective women’s political participation and their emergence as winners, birthed a new initiative called Project IntroGov.

After thorough mentorship sessions with Ms. Anuli Ola-olaniyi (CEO -HEIR), Ms Rahina Idris (Team Lead-Project Kadara) and Ms. Cynthia Mbamalu (Project Manager-YIAGA), winners of the competition unanimously initiated Project IntroGov with the aim of increasing knowledge of gender issues and creating a pool of young protagonists, particularly on their civic rights and women’s leadership in selected secondary schools in four (4) Local Government Councils of the focal states which are Lagos and Osun States.

The Ideathon competition is an initiative of the Nigerian Women Trust Fund with support from the USAID-SACE programme.
