Women Fund rewarded active participants through the SheImpactCommunity and #MyBoldSteps social media photo competition this time with the HIV and Red Cross Community Development Service (CDS) groups of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the Federal Capital Territory.

MyBoldSteps calls for a change in perception and the breaking of stereotypes around women’s political participation while calling for inclusion of women in decision making positions at all levels of governance. The campaign encourages corps members to take action in order to achieve this. Six (6) corps members won in the online competition and received cash gifts of thirtythousand naira (N30,000) only for the first winner, ten thousand naira (N10,000) only for the second runner up and five thousand (N5,000) for the third runner up. The winners are:Anna Mathias, Adebola Olaide, Chibuike Jonadab, Udeoji Ebere, Chisom Ezike and Blessing Nwankwo.

The corps members were excited and noted that social media competition is just one of their taking action plans towards women’s inclusion. They pledged to do more as active citizens through advocacy and volunteering for female politicians.
