Young Women Leaders of the on Tuesday the, 2nd of May 2017 went on a learning visit to the State House of Assembly under the auspices of the Young Women Leaders Project of the Nigerian Women Trust Fund.
The Chief Protocol Officer of the House, who received the young women, commended the project’s aim to inspire young women to participate in governance. He educated the young women on operations, laws and proceedings of the house and gave a brief history on the past and current representation of women in the Imo State Parliament urging them to go on as active citizens.
The Young Women Leaders were also further able to engage two house members of the Imo State Parliament namely Hon. Ezediaro Henry Uzoma and one executive with Barr. G.T.O. Mgborokwu
